Used Vehicle Sales Impacted by Internet

According to a report published last year by leading consumer research firm J.D Power and Associates, Internet shopping for used vehicles is now the primary method for locating used vehicles. According to the report, 31 percent of car buyers found their vehicle on the Internet, compared with 28 percent of buyers who found their vehicle by visiting the dealership. Consumer awareness of Certified Pre-owned vehicles on the Internet has gone up as well; over 60 percent of preowned vehicle buyers have indicated that they intend on purchasing certified used vehicles at the start of their search.
