Take Your Next Adventure with the 2012 Honda Pilot

Have you seen the new 2012 Honda Pilot?

In case you haven’t, their adventure commercial will give you a pleasant overview of the Pilot’s features as it follows a family on a road trip across the country.  Honda is eager to show off the redesigned Pilot, and their commercial certainly makes it look good.

The commercial has a dreamy feel, with a mix of real life actors and diorama sets, and will certainly appeal to families at which it’s aimed.  It begins with a family packing their car at sunrise, preparing to embark on a journey around the country to all of America’s landmarks.  The idea is to show the variety of possibilities drivers have with the new Pilot.

Along the way, it demonstrates the Pilot’s new features: the power tailgate as the father loads the trunk with ease and the rearview camera helps him back out of the driveway.  It also shows how the redesigned SUV can sit eight and has an improved fuel efficiency of 25 mpg on the highway (18 mpg in the city).

As the family drives past Mt. Rushmore, through the desert and over the Golden Gate bridge, the commercial shows off the navigation system that comes with voice recognition and FM traffic, which is available on the EX-L and comes standard on the Touring.

Also available on the Pilot is Bluetooth HandsFreeLink, Song by Voice, a USB Audio Interface, a Honda DVD Rear Entertainment System, 4-Wheel Drive and Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA).  The VSA uses traction control to help drivers if they over steer or under steer and put them back on the right track.  The Pilot’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure helps protect the driver and passengers in an accident. 

The Honda Pilot also recently won Cars.com’s Best 3-row SUV for $37,000 after testing by experts and by a family of four.
