For the record tenth consecutive year, Honda has earned a place atop
ACEEE's (American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy) "Greenest Vehicle" list, by appearing atop ACEEE's "
Greenest Vehicles of 2010" list, and topping out competition from rival manufacturers Toyota, Smart, Ford, Nissan, Mini, Chevrolet, and Hyundai. The "greenest vehicles" list is released annually, and features the top 12 most environmentally friendly vehicles released each year. Honda appears four times in this year's list (Toyota, the only other carmaker with multiple "green" winners on this list, appears twice).
As for the actual rankings, the natural gas-powered Honda Civic GX tops this list, and the Honda Civic Hybrid is 3rd on the list. The "original hybrid"
Honda Insight places fifth, and the conventionally-powered Honda Civic is in the twelfth spot.
Honda's presence and multiple models on this list shows its commitment to the environment and leading the way in green automaking. Only time will tell what will come next from Honda, although its commitment to hydrogen-powered motoring in recent years is a good indication. To get your own green car, why not start out by visiting
